Trescher Brothers Inc. was founded by a duo of brothers who shared a common dream – to leave an indelible mark on Nantucket by creating high-end homes and remodels that exude elegance and precision. Our journey began with a simple belief: carpentry is not just about building structures; it's about crafting dreams and transforming them into reality.
Carpentry is not just a profession for us; it's a passion that runs deep. We love what we do, and this love reflects in every project we undertake. Whether it's crafting custom cabinetry, intricate woodwork, or designing and building your dream home, our enthusiasm is the driving force behind our success.
We are proud to call Nantucket our home, and we are committed to enhancing the beauty of our communities through our work. We understand the unique architectural diversity of these areas, and our carpentry seamlessly blends with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Thermal Hero began in 2023 when the eldest of the three Trescher children, Rafael Trescher, saw an opportunity to grow the family business into a field that aligned with both his interests and experience. Recognizing the increasing demand for modern insulation and energy-efficient solutions, Rafael set out to build a new division that complemented the carpentry work Trescher Brothers was already known for.
Drawing on skills gained through prior hands-on experience in the field, Rafael launched Thermal Hero with the support and guidance of his father, Roger Trescher. Together, they built the foundation of the company with the same standards of care, precision, and reliability that defined the original business. Thermal Hero continues to operate today as a natural extension of the family’s commitment to craftsmanship, adapted to modern building needs.

Roger Trescher Arts grew from a lifelong relationship with craftsmanship, material, and place. Originally from Brazil, Roger was drawn to Nantucket by its quiet beauty, deep history, and long-standing tradition of making. Influenced by the island’s whaling-era scrimshaw, his work reinterprets this historic form through contemporary and ethical materials, carving into fine Italian stone and tile rather than whale teeth.
The frames and wooden elements are crafted from reclaimed wood sourced locally on Nantucket, often salvaged from past carpentry projects or given by longtime clients. Each piece carries traces of the island’s built history, shaped by hand and preserved through reuse.
Roger has been creating art since 1998, producing each piece in his free time alongside decades of carpentry work. While the intention to share the work has always existed, the demands of daily life kept it personal for many years. Over time, this quiet dedication amassed into a substantial collection.
Today, with the help of his middle son, Jonathan, Roger has begun thoughtfully sharing these works — allowing a long-held passion to step forward for the first time.
